Gotcha!

Day 2...
He wasn't as successful at dodging me this time!

Sigh of relief...a good day

It begins again...

It was a little uncool to accompany Ethan to the bus stop (and it was a little wet) but I tried to get some photos of Eric. He would have none of it. I got just the one of him facing the camera and the rest of the time he hid and ran and dodged me completely. Typical!

Maybe I can catch him getting OFF the bus :)

Back to familiar territory

Though Eric knows his school well by now, he decided he needed a "get used to it" trip, too. He switched teachers over the weekend so we got to meet his new teacher and see where his room will be.

He's scared he's not ready for 2nd grade because he doesn't know his times tables yet (I'm pretty sure that's not til 3rd grade!) Yet, in the same paragraph he'll tell you he's ready for middle school because they have lockers there.

That's Eric :)

Ah, middle school

We checked out Ethan's new school one more time before he was thrown to the wolves - sorry, Tigers! He got to meet several of his teachers and walk through his entire school day from beginning to end.

He's ready now :)

Cool rain, new lens...life is good!

Rain like this just doesn't happen very often in August in Oklahoma. I was irritated because we needed to be out running errands around town getting ready for school. But once we got home and the kids put on their rain gear, it was beautiful!

Random summer fun!

Here's Ethan at our Freedom & Faith celebration playing in the band. (photo courtesy of my dad)

I love the 4th!

Just typical Eric...

and typical Ethan :)

Sweet Paige

I'm behind a bit but thought I'd post just a few shots from this blast of a session.

I had an awesome time with Paige (and Bizi and Mom!) There is personality galore in this family! Paige showed me her subdued nature during the "studio" shots - some very sweet girly stuff. Then we *sneaked* into a wheat field for some frolicking and Paige was more than happy to just run and spin and run some more in the wavy green stuff (until she started to itch, of course!!)

Thanks, Paige, for a great day and for sharing your space with Mom and little brother for just a few shots, too :) You're awesome!
